October’s full moon rises just after sunset and sets around sunrise. Farmer’s Almanac says this is the only night in the month when the Moon is in the sky all night long – so get out there and enjoy it!

Ivy Moon
The full moon closest to Samhain, Halloween, and the Day of the Dead is also called the Blood Moon, and serves as a solemn reminder of the endless cycle of life and death.
The Ivy Moon, appearing during autumn and the harvest, symbolizes the time for shedding what no longer serves you and building up provisions and healthy habits for the long winter ahead.
The Moon is our closest celestial neighbor. It’s a constant reminder of the bigger picture: the vast universe out there and each of us, here –together– on this one planet. In this one solar system. In this one galaxy. Out of billions. Make your days and your nights count buds and enjoy this October full moon!
