April 15, 2013 at 4:53 pm (12 years ago)Well I haven’t started yet, but I begin training for my hometown’s SPCA in May! I’m excited because I love animals to death. I am not excited because I will bawl my eyes every day. I just became a reiki practitioner and I hope to give good loving energy to all my furry friends!! ♥♥♥

April 15, 2013 at 4:57 pm (12 years ago)I don’t have a picture of this but I will tell you the story.
My oldest child is my son, Noah. He is 5. We live near an irrigation ditch that feeds thousands of acres of farm land. Noah and I started cleaning the trash out of the ditch about 3 weeks ago. ( No photos b/c it is only he and I doing it). I would love for my son to get 25$ off some new clothes. He is such an amazing little guy.
He also volunteers at our local museum picking up litter. And we have collected 4 trash bags of trash from a recreation area near the river. Noah and his sister Araya ( 4) think it is their job to pick up litter ” because only asspoles litter”.

April 15, 2013 at 6:43 pm (12 years ago)First of all – thank you to all those who volunteer!!!!!!
I have been a volunteer for my beautiful children in their school classroom for the past eight years. The students who often don’t get enough assistance at home can fall behind. That’s where I come in, reading, math or whatever they need. Sometimes, just someone to listen or give them a hug.
Now, my own children are beginning to volunteer as well. My son helps with veterans programs and science field study work.
LET’S KEEP VOLUNTEERING

April 15, 2013 at 7:38 pm (12 years ago)Hello,
I’m a volunteer for a program called Doulas Care. Which is a great organization that provides low income women with a birth doula. The program is completely ran by volunteers and donations. I can’t wait to be matched up with a mama who is looking for support during the birth of her child. In the mean time i volunteered to be a birth doula for my friend who couldn’t afford a doula. It was such a wonderful experience to be such a support to my friend during the birth of her child.

April 15, 2013 at 7:52 pm (12 years ago)My daughter started kindergarten last year. I started volunteering in her classroom shortly after. I help out with reading, math, passing out snacks, cleaning and most of all comforting the little guys and gals when they are having a bad day. Sometimes they get a little snippy with one another and I try to help them realize there is a kinder way to talk to and treat their peers. My daughter loves when I am in her class. If nothing else, I hope my presence in the classroom will help make them kinder to one another. ; )
